Well this was a lovely surprise, I was unable to go to Leven to see the SUBS but found out they were playing a gig in Glasgow the next night. The gig was booked for the Red Eyes and another local band but due to drunkenness I cant remember their name. The Red Eyes weren't tempted to do a shorter set than expected to allow the Subs more time but they were, as always very yummy. They had a lot of new songs which they played brilliantly, the pub was packed and they went down well. The UK SUBS only managed to do a 40 minute set but it was brilliant. I haven't seen them play this well for a long time, small pub gigs are always brilliant and this was no exception. The dancefloor was packed and the whole pub seemed to be rocking, everyone was singing every word to every song, you could tell the SUBS loved it as much as the crowd. This was an excellent gig, punk rock as it should be.
